IIT Joint Entrance Examination - 2008

IIT JEE Exam well known as Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination is a annually Exam for engineering course in India, there are total of nine(9) colleges under IIT, which include seven(7) IIT and two(2) other college IT-BHU Varanasi and ISM Dhanbad, Now from this year and onward Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) Kolkata, Pune & Mohali and Indian Institute of Space Technology (IIST) are also admitting students through the JEE Merit. IIT Jee is one of toughest exam in India and also in the world. Candidate can take admission in branches of BTECH according to their merit list in entrance exam, also in Integrated Bachelor of Technology and Masters of Technology) and Integrated MSc (Master of Sciences) courses in the various institutes.

Total Seats in IIT - IIT Bombay(574), IIT Delhi(553), IIT Guwahati(365), IIT Kanpur(541), IIT Kharagpur(874), IIT Madras(540), IIT Roorkee(746), IT-BHU(686), ISM Dhanbad(658).

Examination Schedule -

  • April 13, 2008 (Sunday) 09.00-12.00 hrs : Paper -1
  • 14.00-17,00 hrs : Paper-2 ( Paper-1 and Paper-2 will each have three separate sections on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Both the papers will be objective type, designed to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates )

Eligibility Criteria -

The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi etc,
