The Centre is introducing Chess classes for students who are keen to learn about chess. Chess is a complex game of strategy as it promotes critical thinking skill and hence, enhances your child’s academic performances.
There are eight distinct critical thinking skills that your child can develop by playing chess on a regular basis and they are 1) Problem solving, 2) Abstract reasoning, 3) Calmness under pressure or emotional resilience, 4) Patience, 5) Sportsmanship, 6) Creative thinking, 7) Pattern recognition and 8) Strategic thinking. Not only will your child have fun learning the game of chess in our program, they will develop valuable life skills that will set them up for future success.
